Aneth Thaumiaud’s Story

“So, the 10th anniversary party comes immediately to mind…

Story by aneth Thaumiaud, Master CAWEB lecturer

I was lucky enough to be one of the first participants in the Master’s program. Since the beginning of my professional career (2000s), I’ve always taught. I came to CAWEB in 2003-2004, I think… if the first names fade with time, I remember the faces, attitudes and singularities of each class. For 20 years now, I’ve been teaching, coaching, noting, listening and so on.

It’s more than teaching in ONE master’s program, it’s a commitment to CAWEB (and to those who make up this master’s program: the teaching/administrative team and the teachers, of course).

Today, as we celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Master’s program, we look back at the years gone by, and many of our memories are still fresh.

But, since it’s a question of choosing just one… Then the 10-year anniversary party comes immediately to mind. In particular, a former student from one of the very first classes came to thank me. He had explained to me that my intervention (almost 10 years earlier, in Ergonomics class at the time) had helped him find his way in the web…

I don’t think I’ve ever felt so grateful in my entire career! It was a real and sincere feeling of gratitude that re-energized me to teach for another 10 years!

Then he confided in me that he was now a web project manager in a big company and tutor to one of our new M1 students… we’d come full circle. We teachers are just passing by, but we do it all to be useful for as long as possible…
Thank you Renate for your enduring trust.
Thank you, students, for these exchanges and reflections…past and future!
