Building International UX Collaboration
The collaboration between CAWEB and Centennial College gives students the opportunity to work together on international digital projects focused on user experience, communication, and innovation.
One of the most significant examples of this partnership was a collaborative UX design project developed with Innovate By Day, a purpose-driven digital marketing and content agency based in Canada. Students from both institutions worked together on a real-world challenge involving the design and evaluation of an AI-powered communication service intended to improve interactions between a company and its clients.
Throughout the project, students contributed to different stages of the design process, including concept development, user research, usability evaluation, and communication strategy. Working in international teams allowed them to exchange perspectives, develop collaborative problem-solving skills, and gain experience in cross-cultural digital communication.
This partnership provides CAWEB students with valuable practical experience in international teamwork, user-centered design, and collaboration with real clients. It also reflects a shared commitment between both institutions to preparing students for global professional environments through innovation, applied learning, and intercultural collaboration.
As one CAWEB student explained:
“Working on this project showed us how important clarity and ease of use are when designing digital tools. This experience helped us better understand how to turn ideas into practical, user-friendly solutions.”
