Blended Intensive Program (BIP)

The Blended Intensive Program (BIP) is an Erasmus+ initiative that promotes international and interdisciplinary collaboration between universities through short intensive programs combining online learning and in-person mobility. These programs are designed to encourage innovative teaching methods, intercultural exchange, and collaborative learning between students and academics from different countries.

The BIP organized within the Faculty of Languages and the CAWEB Master’s program focuses on accessibility in digital communication, bringing together students and experts from several European universities and international partners.

The program combines online collaboration, workshops, conferences, practical activities, and an intensive on-campus week in Strasbourg dedicated to usability, accessibility, and inclusive digital communication.

Advancing Accessibility Through International Collaboration

In April 2025, the University of Strasbourg and the CAWEB Master’s program hosted the Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Program (BIP) “Accessibility in Digital Communication” in Strasbourg, France.

The event brought together more than 50 students, researchers, and professionals from nine partner universities across Europe and international institutions for an intensive international collaboration focused on accessibility, usability, UX, and inclusive digital communication.

Combining online collaboration with an on-campus week in Strasbourg, the program included expert-led masterclasses, workshops, conferences, collaborative projects, and networking opportunities. Participants also took part in the international Usability Symposium and visited institutions such as ARTE and the European Parliament to explore accessibility and multilingual communication in professional environments.

Students worked in international and multidisciplinary teams, exchanging perspectives and developing practical skills related to user-centered design, accessibility, and digital communication.
